An Oldie But Goodie - A Valentine's Day Post

It's been quite some time since I last posted something. But I guess you already know that ;-)

And you also guessed that I've been busy... as usual.

Oh well, let's not complaint and jump right into today's post.

Today's post is Valentine's Day inspired, as the title suggests.

I created this card just like the old times... a vintage, shaped card featuring a Magnolia stamp and colored with Distress Inks and Kuretake watercolors. Papers and flowers are from Prima Marketing, Inc., the tag is from Crate Paper, and the heart shaped tag is from Magnolia. I also added trims, cheesecloth and sequins.

I'll probably be sharing another card soon ;-)

Thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo~

Christmas Money Holder

Hi there lovelies,

I hope that you're enjoying the week so far!

For today's inspirational post I created a money holder, perfect for those "picky" relatives ;-)

The stamp that I used to create this money holder is from Some Odd Girl Stamps and is called Mini Elf Digi Stamp. I colored it with Copic Markers.

I cut the shaped envelope using a SVG file and my Silhouette Cameo. Patterned paper and tag are from Craft Smith. And the holiday trim is from Lawn Fawn.

Easy, right? LOL

Have a great day! ~xoxo~

Halloween ATCs

Hello ~ Hello!!

I'm super excited to share my newest project... Halloween ATCs!

These are the newest mini digi stamps from Some Odd Girl Stamps and you can get yours by clicking here.

I colored these with Luminance pencils and a black marker to define some areas...

For the background, I used Photoshop to add the word-stamped background...

And then distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink pad.

Anyway, these were super fun and easy to make, and they perfectly complement any Halloween project/decor.

Make sure to check out SOG's Facebook group so that you don't miss out on any of projects and ideas that are being posted there.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Is It Back to School Yet?

Hi lovelies,

I can't believe that Summer is over and that the kids are back in school again! Where does time go?

To celebrate the kick start of a new school year, I created this card with the lovely Reading Mae stamp...

I colored the stamp with Caran D'Ache Luminance Pencils and mineral spirits on Bristol Smooth Surface paper. Background was colored using my old-time favorites... chalk.

As for the card, I created the shaped card using my Big Shot and Netabilities templates, and then I distressed the borders with Distress Inks. Patterned paper is by Prima Marketing. As for the rest of the embellishments, I added cheescloth, a paper wreath, trims, and machine stitching.

I hope that you're enjoying your weekend! And thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo~

These are my most recent cards for Some Odd Girl Stamps...

Two circle/scalloped cards featuring the Mini Mermaids.

As for the cards, I cut both the circles and the scalloped circle cards with my Silhouette Cameo, then I stitched the borders, and added flowers and sequins as a finishing touch. Both sentiments are from Magnolia stamps.

Summer is almost over and school starts back again soon! We'll see how this school year goes ;-)

Baby Card

Happy Monday peeps!!

I can't believe it is June already! It seems like it was yesterday when we welcomed the new year. Not complaining by the way. I love Summer! It is one of my favorite seasons. If you live close by the beach just like me, you'll find yourself enjoying from the sand, the ocean, and from beautiful sunsets more often. It is also a season to prepare for other things... like welcoming babies ;-)

Not mine if you were wondering :-D Someone close to me is having a baby, so I prepared this card for her...

I used Hang Out Ollie stamp by Some Odd Girl stamps and you can find it here. I colored the stamp with Copic markers and Prismacolor Pencils.

I created the shaped card using my Silhouette Cameo, and since she's having a baby boy, I kept it simple and used blue colors to match.

I hope that you're enjoying the Summer as well! See ya' next time!

There's No OTTER Like You

Because "someone" (not me! LOL) wanted to give away a Love card...

Stamps are by MFT Stamps and I colored them with Distress Inks. I created and cut the word "Love" and the slider using my Silhouette Cameo (gotta love that machine!). Finally, I used foam dots to adhere the otters and make everything look 3D.

Then on the big day, it went home with this...

Sshhh.. don't tell him I posted this! LOL!

TFL!

Condolences

A friend of mine suffered a terrible loss, so I made her and her husband this card...

Stamp is Stampdendous and I colored it entirely with Distress Inks. The sentiment is computer generated. I kept it simple, without any embellishments, since it was going overseas and because I wanted to keep the stamp/coloring as the main focus.

So recently I celebrated my birthday :-D
and of course, I had to create a card for such an important occasion...

The stamp that you see here is called *Starshine* and it's made by Saturated Canary stamps. You can get yours by clicking here.

I colored it with Copics and Polychromos Pencils (yeah, I cheated on my Prismacolor Pencils...LOL!) I also used sequins, Stickles, and a glittery white cardstock to add more "shine" to the card ;-)

I hope that you liked it and thanks for stopping by!

You're Special

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you another inspirational post for Saturated Canary stamps!

It's an *easel card* featuring this lovely stamp, which is part of the Faces Pack by Saturated Canary.

The stamp was colored with Caran D'Ache Pablo pencils using the "no-lines" technique. (When you purchase the pack, it also includes lightened images that you can use for the "no-lines" technique.)

The sentiment is a stamp by Latina Crafter and it reads "Thanks for being special".

As for the rest of the card, I used patterned paper by Maja Designs, the big butterfly die is by Spellbinders, wreath die by Memory Box, tag dies by Magnolia, oval & scallop dies by Spellbinders, and flowers, pearls, seam binding and trims are generic.

Have a wonderful day!! ~xoxo~

Birthday Party Ideas

Hi everyone!

Here are a couple of birthday ideas that I'm sure will brighten up your party:

We all know that organizing a party can be stressful, so the simple everything is, the better. But at the same time we want to create something pretty and special for our guests.

A candy basket as a party favor is an excellent choice! Not only because you can fill it up with other things besides candy, but because you can adapt it according to your theme. You can use different papers and color combinations (peach and aqua colors look fantastic together!), or simply you can add flowers for a Primaveral look.

A magic wand is something that no girl can resist. And they are so quick and easy to make, that you'll end up making a bunch of these in no time at all. Instead of using stars and a ribbon, how about hearts and lots of strings for a more romantic feeling? ;)

No birthday would be complete without a birthday card! And Tombow Dual Brush Pens makes the task even easier! You can either use the blending pen (like I did in this card) or use water and a brush to blend the colors together, and if you don’t have a coordinating sentiment/stamp to go with your theme or simply because you feel like doing it by yourself, you can handwrite the sentiment using these markers too. I know… it is the coolest thing ever!! J

Finally, sequins are so “in” right now! But if you don’t like them, use rhinestones or glitter instead, or simple leave the card as is.

Now I’ll leave you to the video tutorial:

Supplies:

Tombow MONO Permanent Adhesive
Tombow MONO Multi Liquid Glue
Tombow Dual Brush Pens - Bright Palette
Patterned Paper by We R Memory Keepers
Pink Cardstock
White Cardstock
Paper Straw by Celebrate It!
Glitter by Doodlebug Design
Scallop, Circle, and Star Punches by Stampin Up
Paper Trimer
Balloons Stamp by Magnolia
Happy Birthday Sentiment Stamp by Stampin Up
Sequins
Seam Binding

A Baby Card

Babies are a blessing from Heaven!

And they should be celebrated from the very instant the announcement of the new baby is made.

I guess that's one of the reasons why baby showers exist right? ;)

I made this card for a baby shower that I was invited to.

The stamp is by Magnolia and I colored it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I added Stickles to make it pop-up. I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain and did some machine stitching too. Papers are Chalk Studio II by My Mind's Eye, card shape by Spellbinders, heart diecuts are Magnolia, wreath diecut by Memory Box, and stars diecuts by Sizzlits. The rest is a doily, trims, seam binding, jute, and cheese cloth. The name was computer generated.

I hope baby Alexander makes it safe and sound to the world! ~xoxo~
