Today's inspirational post is sponsored by Some Odd Girl stamps ;-) I created a shaker card using the Under the Sea Mae stamp set. You can find this set by clicking here.
I colored the stamps with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils on Bristol Smooth Surface paper. The background paper is by Prima Marketing, and the sentiment is from Magnolia stamps.
Here are a couple of birthday ideas that I'm sure will brighten up your party:
We all know that organizing a party can be stressful, so the simple everything is, the better. But at the same time we want to create something pretty and special for our guests.
A candy basket as a party favor is an excellent choice! Not only because you can fill it up with other things besides candy, but because you can adapt it according to your theme. You can use different papers and color combinations (peach and aqua colors look fantastic together!), or simply you can add flowers for a Primaveral look.
A magic wand is something that no girl can resist. And they are so quick and easy to make, that you'll end up making a bunch of these in no time at all. Instead of using stars and a ribbon, how about hearts and lots of strings for a more romantic feeling? ;)
No birthday would be complete without a birthday card! And
Tombow Dual Brush Pens makes the task even easier! You can either use the
blending pen (like I did in this card) or use water and a brush to blend the
colors together, and if you don’t have a coordinating sentiment/stamp to go
with your theme or simply because you feel like doing it by yourself, you can
handwrite the sentiment using these markers too. I know… it is the coolest
thing ever!! J
Finally, sequins are so “in” right now! But if you don’t
like them, use rhinestones or glitter instead, or simple leave the card as is.
Now I’ll leave you to the video tutorial:

But whatever you call it, it is a way to express art while at the same time you're getting closer to God.
No matter if it's by doodling on your bible, or stamping and coloring, or a little of mixed media...
It is fun and it definitely makes you reflect on the scriptures.
Now about today's post, I chose "Ephesians 6:10-11" to inspire my journaling...
THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD
Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
There are is so much evil and temptations out there, but if you put your heart and faith in God, you will be able to conquer it all!
Here are the pages that I created...
I'm featuring the lovely *Ephesians 6* stamp by Saturated Canary. All coloring supplies are mentioned in the video ;-)
And here's a little tutorial that I put together with a quick trick to help you simplify your journaling and/or any other stamping technique. Also in the video, I do a quick flip-thru through my bible and show you a couple of pages that I've done so far :-)
Well, I hope that you liked it and *thanks* for stopping by!! ~xoxo
Si te gustó, no olvides *Suscribirte*(si aún no lo has hecho!), dar *Like* y *Compartir* con tus amistades :-D
And this time it is about how I color *dark skin* using Prismacolor Pencils.
I know that many of you struggle with this kind of color combination, so I hope that you find it useful :)
BTW, the creator of this image... Hannah Lynn Art & Design... is offering a 5% discount on your total order, when you use the code that appears in my video. Isn't it cool? So pay close attention to the video so you don't miss it! ;)
AND don't forget to check out the classes that I'm offering. If you love to color images, these classes are for you!!
I was asked by my friend Alberto from Shaky A. Stamps to create a video using one of his images, so here it is!
But before you get to the video, let me show you the finished card...
The beautiful image is *Penelope in the Ocean* by Shaky A. stamps, of course ;) And she was colored with Prismacolor Pencils, like you will see in the video. I also added stickles and liquid pearls to her face and hair to make it *pop* a little bit ;) Papers are Maya Road and flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The doily is Magnolia and the rest are trims and cheese cloth.
And today I want to share with you a *shaker card* that I did featuring the lovely Evie stamp by Saturated Canary...
Evie was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. I like sparkly stuff, so I added Stickles to her tail and eyes ;)
The shaker card was filled with sugar glitter by Doodlebug and with a couple of glitter stars that I found around. All papers are Melissa Frances, and the rest are pearls, cheese cloth, seam binding, and a pastel pink flower.
And if you want to know how to create a shaker card/ornament, check out the following video tutorial that I did a couple of months ago for Saturated Canary YouTube Channel...
