Video Tutorial: Bible Journaling with Prima Watercolor Pencils and Stamp

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share with you a quick and easy process video on Bible Journaling...

The verse is from Luke 1:42 and it reads "Blessed are you among women"

To make this page and tag, I used the Creating in Faith "Mary" stamp by Prima Marketing, Inc.

And I colored the image with Watercolor Pencils also by Prima Marketing, Inc.

For all supplies used here and the process, check out my video:

Thanks for watching and for stopping by! ~xoxo~

Bible Journaling Inspirational Post

Hi everyone,

Today I'd like to share with you an inspirational post for Saturated Canary stamps.

This time I created a Bible Journaling page in which I'm featuring this gorgeous stamp called "Breathe".

I printed the image on vellum paper and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils, did a fussy cut around the image, and adhered it to my Bible page using a spray adhesive. To color the background, I used Dylusions Paint in pink, blue, and white.

And here's the verse that I extracted from the Bible... it's Psalms 16:8.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturated Canary Inspirational Post: Pretty!

Hi everyone,

It's time for another Saturated Canary inspirational post!

And this time I created a double-spread page on my Midori Travelers Notebook featuring the lovely Reflection stamp. If interested, you can find the stamp here.

I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils (no blending solution was used!). Isn't she pretty? ;)

And in case that you were wondering about the background, I used different pieces of patterned paper, Gelatos, white acrylic paint, stencils, and a black pen.

As for the chipboard stickers, they are by Pink Paislee.

Well, that's all for now. I hope that you liked it and thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo~

Advent Art Journaling

As you may have noticed, I recently fell in love with Bible Journaling.

I think it's an amazing outlet... not only because I get to share my passion for art, but also because it makes me reflect on what God has to say to me!

So why not continue to extend this passion to other outlets like art journaling.

Since the beginning of Advent, I began working on my Advent Art Journal and even though it's only a couple of pages that I have accomplished so far, it keeps me motivated to continue creating.

For these pages I used Winter Tammi stamp by Saturated Canary. I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils on Bristol Vellum Surface paper, did a *fussy* cut, and adhered her to my page.

The little prayer is my own handwriting and I took it from this little devotional magazine that I'm currently reading: "The Word Among Us". Anyway, for it I used Prismacolor Premier Assorted Markers. They are excellent for handwriting, acid free, and don't bleed! ;-)

And finally, for the background I used Dylusions Paints by Ranger, Inc.

Soon I'll be starting another *faith* related project, that I hope inspires to start your own too! So stay tuned to my blog :-)

Thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo~

Bible Journaling & A Tutorial

Hi everyone!

Today I have a special post to share with you...

I recently started doing *Bible Journaling*...

Some people call it *Faith Illustrating*...

But whatever you call it, it is a way to express art while at the same time you're getting closer to God.

No matter if it's by doodling on your bible, or stamping and coloring, or a little of mixed media...

It is fun and it definitely makes you reflect on the scriptures.

Now about today's post, I chose "Ephesians 6:10-11" to inspire my journaling...

THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

There are is so much evil and temptations out there, but if you put your heart and faith in God, you will be able to conquer it all!

Here are the pages that I created...

I'm featuring the lovely *Ephesians 6* stamp by Saturated Canary. All coloring supplies are mentioned in the video ;-)

And here's a little tutorial that I put together with a quick trick to help you simplify your journaling and/or any other stamping technique. Also in the video, I do a quick flip-thru through my bible and show you a couple of pages that I've done so far :-)

Well, I hope that you liked it and *thanks* for stopping by!! ~xoxo

You Are Loved!

You Are Loved!!

Here's an art journal page featuring the lovely *Spring stamp* by Saturated Canary.

I thought she was perfect to color in Sepia with a "splash" of color, because well... I've been feeling like this lately... living in the shadows and waiting for some "color" to appear and brighten my day. I know that there will be better days... I just need to be patient and pray!

Anyway, let's continue with this post ;) I used mixed media paper to add texture, and she was colored with Prismacolor Pencils in French Grey 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 90% & Black. For the flowers I used Scarlett Red, Scarlett Lake, Pale Sage, Apple Green & Olive Green.

The card/sentiment is by Teresa Collins, and the heart is a die that I cut using cork.

I hope that you like it and thanks for stopping by!! ~xoxo~

Little Artist

Hey everyone!!

It is time for another Saturated Canary *inspirational post*.

And today I'm showcasing the lovely Little Artist stamp by Saturated Canary. She is the main decoration of my newest *art journal* ;)

My art journal measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", so I resized the stamp to fit the cover of it. I printed her in mixed media paper (Strathmore), and then colored her with Prismacolor Pencils using the layering and burnishing techniques. I also used graphite pencils, gel pens, and chalk to highlight and decorate.

About the journal, I followed this tutorial that I did a while ago, in case that you want to make your own ;)

Well that's all for now! Thanks for stopping by!

A Prismacolor Class

Last Sunday I had a full-house with a Prismacolor class that I was teaching. This is what we were coloring...

The students got to choose between both examples to color.

By the way, the beautiful image is "Girl with Pansy" by Aurora Wings and like I said, it was colored entirely using Prismacolor Pencils.

And here are a couple of pictures of my students in action ;-)

In case that you can't assist to one of my classes, you can always check out and subscribe to my You Tube Channel for some speed-coloring videos on Prismacolors among other crafts and project tutorials ;-)

Thanks for visiting me! ~xoxo~

December Daily & Merry Christmas

So many ladies of the SMASH groups I'm in are jumping in the wagon and doing this December Daily thing...

(click for December Daily by Ali Edwards)

And I said that I wasn't going to make one this year, since last year I started one with my friend Kellie and I totally failed!

I also said that I wasn't going to buy any of these, since they're not my style...

Bahahahaha... yes, you guessed it! I got myself one...LOL!! And yes, I'm also doing the December Daily ;-)

Here's the first part of it:

(warning: pic heavy!)

These tiny pics are 3" x 3", which I took with my iPhone and an app called "Hipstamatic" (it's pretty cool if you love vintage/lomo photography!).

I'm doing a total hybrid out of this album and I'm truly enjoying it! I'm using overlays in my pics (which I added with Photoshop Elements), half of the tags that I'm using were created and printed from my computer using Word and Photoshop Elements, and I'm also doing some mixed media in it too (adding paints, trims and ribbons, metal, etc.) ;-)

As you can see, I'm adding pics and memories from past Christmas. And I'm doing my album in Spanglish (Spanish and English) too! ;-)

Even though the main idea is to document all 25 days of December, I'm not going to do that! Not only I don't have something important/nice to document each day, but also I don't have the time to do it daily. So I will be documenting the important stuff in this journal only.

And why not? I'm also including stories from my office, like the one above... it was a prank a Secret Santa made to our supervisor...LOL!

I'm still working on the 2nd part of this mini album, so stick around ok? ;-)

Now last but not least, I want to wish you all...

 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

See how versatile these papers are?

You can create almost *anything* with them :-)

The cute stamp is from Saturated Canary and I colored it with Copics.

And to create the little envelope, I followed -->this<-- tutorial.

Now your next stop is the most talented Krista.

And remember to leave a comment in order to be eligible to win a prize ;-)

Happy Smash*ing!!
