Tutorial: Art Lettering Mini Journal

There's a big trend going on right now on art lettering and doodling.

And since I'm so crafty, you shouldn't be surprised that I'm already polishing my skills on this matter ;-)

In the mean time, I wanted to share with you a quick tutorial on how to create your own mini version of an art lettering journal.

Here's what you need to get started:

Supplies:

1) patterned paper and coordinating cardstock
2) chipboard (or sturdy cardstock)
3) graph paper (or white paper)
4) two eyelets and eyelet setter
5) bone folder and scoring board
6) paper trimmer
7) heart punch (or any other shape that you like)
8) Tombow Multi Liquid Glue
9) Tombow Dual Brush Pens (for your art lettering)

Procedure:

Step 1: Cut the piece of patterned paper and chipboard to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Also, cut several sheets of graph paper (as many as you like) to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". (You can also use white paper instead.)

Step 2: With the help of a bone folder and a scoring board, make a fold at 1/4" on top (short side) of the patterned paper only.

Step 3: Make two marks on top of the fold that you just made, at 1" and 3 1/4".

Step 4: Align everything together... the patterned paper on top, the graph papers in the middle, and the chipboard at the bottom... and hold tightly.

Step 5: Using the eyelet setter, make a hole on the marks done on Step 3. Then, set the eyelets just like shown.

Step 6: Using coordinating cardstock and a heart punch, create a heart shape (again, you can use any shape that you like).

Step 7: Then add Tombow Multi Liquid Glue to the back of the heart shape and adhere to the front of your journal, like shown.

And you're done!

Now grab your favorite color of the Tombow Dual Brush Pens and start doodling on your journal.

Like I said, you can use white paper instead of graph paper and use it as a regular journal/notebook ;-)

I guess that's all for now. Thank you so much for stopping by! ~xoxo
