Tutorial & Freebie: Bible Tabs

If you're into Bible Journaling, studying the bible or simply reading it, you know it can be a little tedious to search for books and/or verses within it.

I mean, if you don't know where the books are, then you have to look up the index first in order to locate that particular book you're looking for... or even worst, flip through page after page after page until you find the correct one.

So the best solution for this is to either memorize the books' order (which in my case it's pointless...  LOL!) or use bible tabs.

But it happens that I use a Catholic Bible and when I went to buy tabs, all of the tabs that I found were Protestant/Christian (66 books only, while the Catholic has 73 books). So instead of ordering them online, I decided to make my own. And guess what? I'm sharing them with you! :) I also made a Spanish version for my Spanish speaking followers ;)

Now for the instructions...

What I did was that I cut a 12"x12" piece of patterned paper to 8 1/2"x11", so that it could fit into my printer and then clicked "print".

Because I love colorful stuff, I printed another sheet in a different color...

Then using a paper trimmer (you can also use scissors), I cut each tab following the printed lines as guides...

Next step, I folded them in half (I used a bone folder to make a crispy edge), and then added adhesive to the back of the tabs (you can also use sticky strips, double-sided tape or glue). Make sure that you add the adhesive to both sides of the tab (left and right) as shown...

Optional:

If you want to decorate your tabs even more, use a hole puncher and make two half holes (one at each side) of your tabs like shown...

Finally, adhere the tabs to the pages making sure half of it sticks out of the page, like shown...

And this is the final result!

I hope that you find these useful either if you're a Catholic or a Protestant/Christian (Non-Denominational).

Let me know what you think ok? And don't forget to share this with your friends too!

Thanks for stopping by! ~xoxo
